NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. — A finance major from Westminster College was one of twelve virtual interns across the country in 2021 for Resources Global Professionals, a midsize, publicly traded management consulting firm.
Lauryn Todd of Lisbon, Ohio stepped out of her comfort zone to undertake an eight-week virtual internship over the summer to support RPG revenue teams in Southern California and Hawaii. Todd specifically updated the data hosted on the company’s sales platform, Salesforce.
Over the eight weeks, Todd was tasked with researching nearly 6,000 customer accounts to validate that RPG had the correct information in the database. She successfully completed 4,000 account updates, then created a step-by-step guide for the next person in her role.
Upon completion of his internship, Todd led an in-house training session for the revenue team to create sustainable business practices around customer account data updates.
“The Financial Analyst Program [at Westminster] was great in preparing me for this internship experience,” says Todd. “It taught me to do a lot of research online and ask questions about what I found.”
